PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal information is handled with care at Hotel Net Service. We've taken every possible step to make sure your safety is guaranteed throughout the reservation process. This page was compiled to provide some technical details that should clarify what exactly is done with the personal information you provide at Hotel Net Service. We hope that, after reading this text, you are comfortable with our system's many privacy-enhancing technical features and policies.

Cookies

The so-called WWW "cookies" sent by Hotel Net Service are small chunks of mostly computer-readable-only information that aids in the functioning of the reservation system. Cookies are employed on Hotel Net Service for a variety of purposes, from tracking your site preferences to aiding in the security and identification of users when they make reservations.

Our cookies are not used to identify you with marketing purposes and therefore display advertisements and other unrequested annoyances.

Our cookie information is not accessible by other sites whatsoever. Not only by the rules of the cookies standard, but because 100% of the information stored in the cookies we send you is protected by a randomly chosen strong encryption cipher.

"Strong encryption" means our "cookies" can only be reversed by us - upon your request. (Or obeying a law-enforcement court order.)

Information During Transfer

We run our system through painstaking tests to ensure that no personal information is transferred without being encrypted first.

Here's an outline of where your information goes, when, how, and the security precautions we've taken at each point:

Your membership starts when your password is created on the first time you request a reservation. Any information submitted through this form is secured by the industry-standard SSL-protected HTTP protocol. This means that the personal details you provide when signing up are tranferred from your web browser to Hotel Net Service headquarters through a secure channel, even if the transmission is intercepted your personal data will not be readable.

Members and casual visitors may browse any of our hotel pages anonymously, that is, without logging in. If, at any time, you must identify yourself or provide any personal information whatsoever you will be immediately transported into secure SSL mode.

When you decide to book a reservation your personal details do not exit Hotel Net Service headquarters at all. Internally the system knows who you are through a unique digital ID that identifies you. This ID is a securely encrypted code that cannot be traced back to you if intercepted by an eavesdropper. When a reservation is in progress the hotels may VIEW and INTERNALLY take note of the personal information needed to conclude the reservation process. The transfer of information, so hotels may view it, is also done through the industry-standard secure channels we've set up with each hotel.

At each step of the process an unencrypted (therefore prone to eavesdropping) email is sent to hotels and users to notify that something has changed in their reservation request. We understand the insecurities of the email system and special measures are in place so that your privacy is protected. This email message contains no sensible information - to find out what has actually changed on the reservation the customer or hotel must log into the secure site and only then access is granted to personal information or messages back and forth between hotel and customer.

When you sign up to Hotel Net Service your information is tranferred (securely, as described above) to our main headquarters' secure storage system.

  • Customer information is never shared with 3rd parties.
  • Hotel Net Service does not sell customer information to marketing firms.
  • Access to your personal data is always restricted only to the hotels you contact.
  • Hotel Net Service employees have access to minimal personal details only when aiding the customer in concluding a reservation.

Hotel Net Service cannot be responsible for users' privacy if the personal computer or internet terminal used to access our site is:

  • Set up in a public location where your personal information, usernames or passwords or internet browsing habits can be obtained by visual contact.
  • Set up with a third party program or application that does not follow the same strict privacy guidelines we do and, therefore, compromises your personal information outside the control of our system.
  • Infected by so-called "spyware" which are usually rogue advertisement programs that report back to eavesdroppers on the customers' habits bypassing the browser's security features.
  • Infected by so called "malware" such as virus, trojans, "internet worms" or similar.
  • Not equipped with a secure and updated operating system which may facilitate privacy violations. Most O.S. vendors offer free security updates and "patches"
  • In any of these situations your personal information may be leaked BEFORE the Hotel Net Service system has a chance to apply due security measures.

Remember: some of the afforementioned "malware" can spy on your personal information even as you type it, therefore out of our privacy-enhancing controls.

Your privacy is taken seriously at Hotel Net Service. We've built this system with you in mind and we feel our privacy policy rightly protects our customers. If you would like to enhance this policy or suggest additional privacy-enhancing measures we will be glad to hear from you. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or complaints please Contact us any time. Messages are monitored 24 hours a day and you will receive a reply as soon as possible.
